About Color Echo

Simon is an electronic memory game created by Ralph Baer and Howard J. Morrison and released by Milton Bradley in 1978. Its iconic four-color disc — red, green, yellow, and blue — became one of the defining toys of the late 1970s and early 1980s and a cornerstone of pattern-memorization gameplay.

This browser version recreates the original feel using synthesized tones for each pad. Simon shows a growing sequence of colors and you repeat it by clicking the pads in order. Each successful round adds one more color, stretching your short-term memory further and further. Strict mode removes the mercy of a restart, just like on the original hardware.

How to Play

Controls: Watch and listen as Simon lights up a sequence of colors. When Simon finishes, click or tap the colored pads in the same order. Pick Normal or Strict mode before starting.

Objective: Repeat the growing sequence of colors as many rounds in a row as possible. In Strict mode a single wrong press ends the run, so accuracy becomes everything.
