About Idle Empire

Idle and clicker games became a distinct genre with Cookie Clicker in 2013, designed by Orteil. What started as a joke about the genre itself turned into a massively popular format that combines active clicking, long-term upgrades, and rewarding meta-progression through prestige systems.

Idle Empire follows the same formula: click to earn gold, spend gold on buildings and upgrades that generate gold automatically, then prestige for permanent bonuses that make the next run even faster. The genius of the genre is that progress continues even when you step away from the keyboard, so every return is a reward.

How to Play

Controls: Click the big coin button to earn gold. Spend gold in the Buildings column to unlock automatic generators, and in the Upgrades column to multiply your output. Prestige when you can to reset for permanent bonuses.

Objective: Grow your empire as fast as possible. Unlock every building, earn achievements, and push your prestige level higher to dominate the leaderboard.

Tips & Strategy

• Always buy the most expensive building you can afford — it usually gives the best gold per second ratio.
• Do not neglect upgrades. A single upgrade can multiply a building's output by ten or more.
• Prestige as soon as the next prestige level gives a meaningful bonus. Sitting on gold you cannot use is wasted potential.
• Leave the game running in the background. Offline income and automatic generators are the heart of idle progress.
• Read the achievements list — many of them unlock extra multipliers that make your whole economy stronger.
